Biffa Waste Management has secured a new waste, recycling, and street cleaning contract with the city of Lincoln Council, United Kingdom.

Biffa Waste Management has secured a new waste, recycling, and street cleaning contract with the city of Lincoln Council, United Kingdom.

The company’s new contract, valued at £5.5 million and will run for 8 and a half years, is set to start on September 1, 2026, following the ending of the current agreement on August 31, 2026.

The contract services will include full collection of residual waste, dry recycling, garden waste, and clinical waste. Additionally, Biffa will perform street cleaning such as sweeping, litter collection, fly0tipping removal, clearing abandoned vehicles, and graffiti cleaning.

 “We look forward to supporting the council’s Vision 2030 goals by introducing innovative practices and working together to create a cleaner, greener city for residents and visitors alike with the new contract aligning to the Simpler Recycling regulations due to be introduced for household waste collections from April 2026,” said Debbie Doohan, regional general manager at Biffa.
