Turf Reclamation Solutions (TRS) has developed a new process for both the recycling and removal of sports synthetic fields.
The Cincinnati-based TRS said in a news release it has combined the recycling and removal of turfs in one standardized process. Sports field managers have struggled with the recycling of old turf previously, said TRS, which previously only did turf removal.
Typically, a discarded synthetic turf field accounts for more than 500,000 pounds of waste per field. TRS developed machinery that cuts the turf in the removal process to clean turf packaged to fit recycling requirements.
