The Waste Equipment Technology Association (WASTEC) selected new board of governors leaders at its annual meeting.

Robert Mecchi, vice president for Big Truck Rental in Tampa, Fla., is now chairman for the Washington-based WASTEC’s board. Mike Savage now is vice chairman. He is president and CEO of PTR Baler and Compactor Co. in Philadelphia, WASTEC said in a news release.

The equipment association also said Patrick Carroll and George Fink have joined the board. Carroll is president of the Environmental Solutions Group in Chattanooga, Tenn. George Fink is vice president for Volvo Construction Equipment in Asheville, N.C.

Further, John Curotto and Michael Schwalbach are taking alternative seats on the board. Curotto is president and CEO of The Curotto-Can Inc., based in Sonoma, Calif. Schwalbach is business group manager for Rehrig Pacific Co. in Los Angeles.

Janice Comer Bradley, WASTEC executive vice president, said, “We are fortunate that Robert and Mike have agreed to serve in leadership roles on the WASTEC board of governors. They and the other representatives on the board of governors have demonstrated their commitment to the association and the industry.”
