The Piney Creek waste-to-energy plant in Clarion, Pa., is up for sale.
Piney Creek Ltd. Partnership agreed to have Union, Mo.-based Stuart B. Millner & Associates, an asset management company, liquidate the assets from Piney Creek, which burns waste bituminous coal as its primary fuel source.
The 32-megawatt power plant generates energy that is delivered to GPU, according to a Millner brochure. The plant typically uses 625 tons of bituminous waste coal daily.
If not sold the facility will go up for auction Feb. 20.
