WM Seeks Injunction Against Jackson, MS Mayor

The mayor of Jackson, MS is trying to award a one-year contract to FCC Environmental, but is facing opposition from council and competitors.

Mayor Chokwe Antar has twice tried to use emergency declarations to switch collection services from Waste Management to new faulers. Both times, the actions were denied. WM has sought an injunction against the mayor and city, saying that the current delay in services is not an emergency.
