San Jose Woman Dies After Garbage Truck Hits Her

A woman died while taking out the trash on February 2.
A driver for California Waste Services hit 63-year-old Gina Cay Cunningham after she stepped in the street and into the operator's blind spot.
“We are deeply saddened and shocked by the tragic accident that occurred this morning, and our sincerest condolences go out to the individual’s loved ones,” California Waste Solutions said in a statement.
