Rumpke is seeing fewer-than-normal job applications for driver positions which has led to missed pickups in Columbus, Ohio.

As a worker shortage looms, more residents are complaining. The company was charged $10,000 in fees because of missed pickups in "hot spots" the city identifies based on the number of complaints.

A spokesperson for the city's service department commented that Rumpke is working to clear the backlog of yard waste that has piled up.
