Recology Driver Helps Family Escape Fire

A residential sanitation driver on his normal route was tipping bins when he noticed smoke coming from a home in Eureka, Calif.

Matt Taylor, a Recology employee, sprang into action and quickly pulled up to the house. After making sure emergency services were called, Taylor pounded on the door until residents came out.

Taylor continued his route after saving the family that was inside.
