Grand Junction, Colo. held its third and final meeting for a public/private partnership to bring a MRF to the area.

Three companies gave 20-minute presentations to the subcommittee earlier this week. According to Jay Valentine, Grand Junction General Services Director, Bruin Waste most closely aligns with the town’s objective and will take that proposal to the council.

If the City Council approves the proposal, the MRF from Bruin Waste will be operational in 12 to 18 months.

Bruin Waste CEO Jeff Kendall states that a regional MRF will be the best use of money, confirming that the facility will be open access for every hauler on the Western Slope.
