California Man Sues Waste Management After Bear of an Ordeal

Incline Crest Condominiums and Waste Management are defendants of a lawsuit involving a man who says he suffered injuries while taking out the trash.

On Sept. 5, 2019, John Donaldson had just arrived at a dumpster at the Lake Tahoe condo complex to throw away a bag of dog waste. As was startled when he discovered a bear in the dumpster, fell and allegedly suffered injuries that required surgery.

Donaldson is seeking $15,000 in damages and says that the parties involved were aware of a bear problem in the community but failed to wildlife-proof the dumpsters.
