The Tampa Bay Super Bowl Host Committee has launched a sustainability program in partnership with Tampa Electric around Super Bowl LV, which is scheduled to take place on February 7, 2021. The two partners will work to incorporate sustainability principles and programs alongside Super Bowl-related and Host Committee-related events in Tampa Bay.

As part of the sustainability program, the partners will use solar blocks through Tampa Electric's Sun to Go program to offset energy use at Super Bowl events. In addition, the Tampa Bay Super Bowl Host Committee will partner with local non-profits to develop fan and volunteer events that will include community clean-ups, food packing events, a sustainability incentive program and the activation of a Riverwalk Green Team.

Earlier, the Tampa Bay Super Bowl Host Committee launched a community greening program.
