Stanford Launches School of Sustainability

Stanford University is looking to prioritize the climate crisis with the introduction of a new School of Sustainability.

The school is set to open its doors this summer thanks to a $1.1 billion gift donated by venture capitalists John and Ann Doerr. The gift is the most money to date ever donated to higher education for climate research and programs.

However, some critics say that Stanford's policy on accepting monetary gifts from fossil fuel companies is in direct contrast to its mission.
