Levi Strauss & Co. Joins Fashion for Good

Evrnu Seattlebased textile technology startupnbspEvrnunbsphas partnered withnbspLevi Strauss amp Co to create Levirsquos 511 jeans a pilot pair of jeans made entirely of postconsumer cotton waste which helps reduce both waste and water consumption The pair of jeans was created from approximately five old cotton Tshirts which were recycled purified broken down into a pulp and created into a new fiber that is finer than silk and stronger than cottonnbsp

Levi Strauss is taking sustainability even more seriously and has announced that the company will be joining Fashion for Good – a member- and brand-supported accelerator and scaling program for sustainable and circular innovation in the apparel industry.

Joining Fashion for Good will help Levi Strauss make further progress toward their aggressive sustainability goals.
