Grand Rapids, Mich. – Kamps, Inc. is excited to announce the appointment of Damon Williamson to the Reusable Packaging Association’s (RPA) Board of Directors. Mr. Williamson is the Vice President of National Sales for Kamps, Inc., a leading national pallet supplier and recycler. Kamps has been a member of the RPA since 2022, during which time Mr. Williamson has participated as an active member of the association’s education program and Sustainability Working Group. The company views Mr. Williamson’s appointment to the board as a natural progression of its overall industry leadership, and commitment to fostering industry growth and collaboration. RPA is a non-profit trade organization with over 85 member companies representing and promoting the common business interests of suppliers and users of reusable transport packaging products and services.

Mr. Williamson holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Marshall University and has held various sales leadership positions with Kamps, Inc. over the past nine years. In 2023, he was named the Vice President of National Sales, overseeing the company’s New Pallet Sales division. Prior to joining Kamps, Mr. Williamson held Multiple leadership positions with one of the largest national food service distribution companies and his family-owned hardwood sawmill and new pallet manufacturing company in West Virginia. The company believes Mr. Williamson’s extensive experience in the reusable packaging space, both from the provider and customer side, will compliment his role on the RPA board of directors well.

The RPA was established in 1999 with the core mission of promoting the use and value of reusable transport packaging systems. This value includes supply chain product quality and economic and environmental benefits. RPA serves as a bridge facilitating industry collaboration to raise awareness in markets and among policymakers about the advantages of reuse systems and best practices in optimizing their performance in supply chains. Mr. Williamson and the collective RPA Board of Directors aim to accelerate this mission, which aligns perfectly with Kamps’ longstanding commitment to sustainability and operational efficiency.

On his appointment, Mr. Williamson said, “Kamps is the industry leader in Innovative Pallet Services and Comprehensive Pallet Life-Cycle Service (CPLS) programs. Our main mission is to introduce reusable packaging into our customers’ supply chains by measuring and quantifying the economic and environmental impact of these programs. This aligns closely with RPA’s mission and I am excited to bring this experience and insight to the association.”

Tim Debus, RPA President & CEO, is pleased to include representation from Kamps on the association’s leadership team.“Kamps offers a wealth of experience and a wide range of services in managing the continuous use of pallets to move the economy,” said Debus. “Damon’s addition to the RPA Board brings extensive background and knowledge to support our strategic thinking and activities for industry impact.
