Nuclear Waste Recycling Startup Wants to Solve the  Problem Holding Back Nuclear

Working in the United States Department of Energy for 30 years, Ed McGinnis has seen firsthand the U.S. government's failed effort to build a nuclear waste repository in Yucca Mountain, Nevada.

The project would have been the nation's most significant long-term nuclear waste solution, however, McGinnis says both political parties claim there is no adequate solution, and gave up on the possibility.

No longer working for the government, McGinnis knows the importance of establishing a reliable fix to the evergrowing amount of nuclear waste in the country. Taking all of his experience with him, he has joined a small startup with around ten other people to form a commercial nuclear waste facility with the capability of eliminating 4,000 metric tonnes of waste.
