New Jersey's largest landfill solar project has proven to be a major success for the community.

The number of solar project landfills has grown 80 percent in the past five years according to the EPA. In line with this trend, several companies have collaboratively opened the largest solar project landfill in the state. CEP Renewables, CS Energy, Terrasmart, Lindsay Precast and NJR Clean Energy Ventures opened the site in a joint effort, however the project will be run by NJR Clean Energy Ventures long-term. Though still in the works, the project has already won the 2021 Award for Innovation in Governance from the New Jersey League of Municipalities.
