Jasper's municipal energy manager presented details on a possible solar energy plant at the same site as the city's current wastewater treatment facility.

Last week Jasper's municipal energy manager presented a viability report on establishing a solar plant. The potential solar plant would generate solar power at the Wastewater Treatment Plant on Cottonwood Creek Road. Estimated at a cost between $1.5 and $1.65 million, the project would produce an estimated annual savings of $54,353/year. No decisions on the project have yet been made.
