Precious metal recycling firm Metallix Refining Inc. has opened a facility in Eatontown, N. J., specializing in purchasing scrap catalytic converters.
The facility allows for supplier drop-offs and spot purchases and creates an opportunity for the local catalytic converter recycling market, the Greenville, N.C.-based company said in a news release.
The company said working with a precious metal refinery allows suppliers to profit from quick transactions and higher payouts. Metallix also owns and operates its own trucks, allowing them to make spot purchases at supplier locations.
