The company said initially the facility will make its Marathon brand of compactors and balers, and also anaerobic digestion systems through its partnership with Zero Waste Energy of Lafayette, Calif. Production is scheduled to begin this month. ESG is moving operations from its Marathon plant in Yerington, Nev.
“Our manufacturing operations have been primarily located in the Southeast,” said Bob McMackins, ESG’s vice president of manufacturing. “Having a large-scale manufacturing option in the western part of the U.S. makes perfect sense for our customers. We can now manufacture our products much closer to their point of use, reducing freight charges for our customers.”
ESG encompasses several solid waste and recycling industry brands, including Heil Environmental, Marathon Equipment Co., Bayne Premium Lift Systems and The Curotto-Can Co. ESG is part of Dover Corp.
