A new Uber-style service for curbside recycling is now available. Residents of Chesapeake, Virginia can now pay $11/month plus an addition fee for glass recycling to have their recyclables scooped up by a driver.

The city recently ended its contract for recycling services.  Residents recycle nearly 14,500 tons of waste at a cost of around $4.3 million.

A lack of revenue generated crated problems and the eventual end of the program.
