Roanoke launches a program called The Recycle Right Pilot Program. The program aims to correct improper recycling and provide education for the Belmont-Fallon district.

The City of Roanoke’s Solid Waste Division, Office of Sustainability, and Recycling Disposal Solutions (RDS) are collaboratively launching a program in the Belmont-Fallon district to inform proper recycling habits and decrease contamination. The pilot program is called The Recycle Right Pilot Program. This program will help to decrease contamination by implementing curbside recycling inspection and providing more education to help correct incorrect recycling behaviors. Resolving incorrect recycling habits will allow for the recycling system's longevity and financial savings.
