The EPA recently released a report called An Analysis of Lithium-Ion Battery Fires in Waste Management and Recycling.

The report examined the 245 fires that occurred between 2013 and 2020 at 64 facilities. These facilities ranged from MRFs to landfills to transportation, including garbage trucks.
