The Brooklyn Park Council has approved a recycling contract with the city's current waste services provider, Waste Management. The contract is set to last five years and was approved by a 6-0 vote in the council. When the recycling contract renewal opened up, only Waste Management and Eureka Recycling put in bids, however, the council decided to sign with WM as it is the city's current provider. The new contract means households will now witness a rate increase of more than $1.
