Residents in Ross, Pickaway, Highland and Fayette counties recycled nearly 6.9 million pounds of material in 2014, about 23 percent more than the 2013 annual record of 5.6 million pounds.
The recycling program is provided through a partnership between Rumpke and the Ross-Pickaway-Highland-Fayette Solid Waste Management District. It began in 2005 with seven sites and 14 containers and has grown to have 36 sites and 94 containers located throughout the four counties.
