Windex recently announced the launch of its first-ever 100 percent ocean plastic bottle on its Windex Multi-Surface Cleaner with Vinegar. The bottle marks a commitment by Windex to help address the problem of plastic pollution entering the oceans.

And on June 7 and 8, Windex will unveil its efforts to stem the tide of marine-bound plastic pollution in a public fashion through a special ball pit made from recycled plastic at Harbourfront Centre in Toronto. Visitors will be encouraged to jump into a ball pit to experience and share on their social channels what it could feel like to swim in an ocean polluted with plastic waste. Every person who jumps into the pit will receive a full-sized Windex Multi-Surface Cleaner with Vinegar Ocean Plastic bottle. Additionally, for each jump, Windex will make a donation to Swim Drink Fish, a nonprofit organization that works to create a swimmable, drinkable and fishable future.

The Windex Multi-Surface Cleaner with Vinegar Ocean Plastic bottle is a continuation of SC Johnson’s commitment to environmental solutions, which includes the shift to 100 percent post-consumer recycled plastic for all Windex trigger bottles. By 2025, 100 percent of SC Johnson’s plastic containers will be either reusable, recyclable or compostable, while post-consumer recycled plastic in the company’s packaging will triple. Plans are underway to continue to launch additional ocean plastic bottles in some of the brand’s other products.
