In the United Kingdom, five million tons of plastic is used each year, yet only 370,000 tons are recycled each year. That’s only seven percent of plastic recycled.

We all know that plastic is a problem – it’s in our oceans, rivers and scattered across our lands. What if we could use plastic to make something useful that would reduce the demand on the Earth’s resources?

Plastic is being researched as a sustainable building material. Currently there are several prototype initiatives. Why not? It’s strong, durable, waterproof, lightweight and reliable.
