QRS Recycling is moving its paper and plastics operations out of New Albany but will keep a presence at its Floyd Street location.
Beginning March 28, all paper products that have been delivered to the New Albany facility will be transitioned to the Louisville plant at 2000 Industrial Blvd., according to a press release issued by QRS Recycling Friday afternoon. The company pledged to continue its business partnerships and recycling efforts despite the move.
Sixteen full-time employees in New Albany will lose their job as a result of the transition, but QRS Iron and Metals will remain operational at the facility.
