New EU Report Examines PFAS in Pesticides

A joint investigation by NGOs Générations Futures and Pesticide Action Network (PAN) Europe reveals that 12 percent of all approved synthetic substances in European pesticides are 'forever chemicals' known as PFAS.

While the EU plans to restrict PFAS, pesticides are excluded, posing environmental and health risks.

The NGOs urge immediate action to ban PFAS pesticides and call for better implementation of pesticide regulations. The European Chemicals Agency and European Food Safety Association have been approached for comments on the alarming findings.
