The plan aims to cut Central Ohio’s food waste in half by 2030 through waste prevention, food rescue and recycling.
Natural Upcycling will make 160 pickups in the city this spring and summer and again during the same time frame in 2020.
Participating restaurants aim to reduce food waste at the source, donate pre-consumer food leftovers and recycle through composting.
Residents can drop off food waste, where it is then turned into energy via anaerobic digestion.
