Ohio EPA Approves Landfill to Take in More Waste

The OhioEPA has approved a new long term permit for the Preble County landfill to increase the amount of waste the landfill can bring in each day.

The incerease will take the amount of waste which can be brought in each day from 195 tons to up to 495 tons a day. This comes after employees with the sanitation department informed commissioners at a March 18 meeting they were receiving a higher amount of waste than normal and had reported tonnage at almost 190 tons for the two days prior to that meeting.
