Houston Residents Express Concerns About Growing Waste Pile

Residents in Houston have expressed concerns about a growing waste pile, which may be turning into a health hazard. The pile, which includes items like building materials, a couch and a tire, continues to grow because some residents are adding their trash to it.

Despite dozens of calls to the city, the pile hasn’t been cleaned up and calls regarding the issue haven’t been returned.

A mountain of problems just keeps piling higher on one Houston neighborhood, and some neighbors say the mess is turning into a serious health hazard.

The growing pile includes everything from building materials to a couch and a tire -- and the residents in the Fifth Ward neighborhood want it removed as soon as possible.

"It's not a dump site, it's where people live," said one resident.
