Ascent Recycling Faces Code Violations, Given Extension to Clear Waste from Property

Ascent Recycling in San Antonio is currently in violation of several city codes. The company’s massive waste buildup is causing many dust and trash issues for neighbors, who are speaking out about the ongoing problems.

Ascent has been cited for property maintenance issues in the past and recently received another extension by a local judge to remove the last of the waste from its property.

Neighbors say an east side recycling site is a breeding ground for rats and a health hazard for those who live nearby.

A San Antonio judge decided Thursday to give the company an extension in removing the last of its rubble from the property.

City code violations is forcing Ascent Recycling out of the 300 block of Seguin Street. This is the company's fourth location in San Antonio to be slapped with citations.
