E-Z Pack Manufacturing
E-Z Pack has offered dependable, efficient, and innovative refuse truck bodies for more than 60 years. The company was recently acquired by Overall Capital and Pine Street Growth Partners, and now operates as E-Z Pack Refuse Hauling Solutions, LLC.
According to Jim Rogers, vice president of sales and marketing, “We expect to continue to expand our product line, as the new ownership invests in the long-term growth of the industry. We’re also rebooting our parts department, which had been outsourced for the past couple of years. We’re currently stocking and shipping parts again, both OEM and aftermarket parts, from our facility in Kentucky.
“The new owners are excited about our innovative product line, our CNG technology, our hard working employees, and the potential for expansion at our facility in Cynthiana,” Rogers added. “Pine Street Growth Partners is a growth-oriented company, with hands-on experience in the refuse business.”
E-Z Pack manufactures bodies in Cynthiana, Ky., where it houses the industry’s only powder coat paint facility, an exclusive feature of E-Z Pack bodies for over a decade. Innovative thinking continues to drive the company. E-Z Pack has emerged as a leader in CNG-fueled refuse vehicles with its patent pending CNG Tailgate Technology, which was on display this year at WasteExpo 2014.

E-Z Pack introduced the first high compaction automated side loader, the Hercules ASL, four years ago, and followed up a year later with a CNG version. Today’s Hercules ASL has taken CNG to another level, fully integrating the CNG fuel cells inside the body, protected in the upper half of the tailgate. The patent pending design, also featured on Hercules CNG front loaders, eliminates the problems from overhead obstructions that are common with roof-mounted CNG designs. E-Z Pack’s CNG side loaders and front loaders come standard with 75 diesel gallon equivalent (DGE). The 90 DGE capacity is optional. The Hercules ASL also boasts compaction up to 1,000 lbs. per cubic yard, a 6-cu.-yd. hopper with an 8-ft. arm reach, and E-Z Pack’s “Quiet Hydraulics” to save even more fuel while reducing noise pollution.
