Waste Management Recognized for Environmental Efforts in Pennsylvania

Danielle Jackson

Houston - Waste Management Inc. has announced that its Waste Management of Pennsylvania facility in Bucks County has received certification from the Wildlife Habitat Council (WHC) for its efforts to restore, create, protect and enhance wildlife habitats.

Waste Management has worked with the WHC and several other organizations to create a wildlife management program to increase biodiversity in the region. Pennsbury Manor, a 43-acre country estate that was home to William Penn, is adjacent to the eastern edge of the Pennsylvania facility's property.

The Pennsylvania facility includes the geological reclamation operations and waste systems (GROWS) landfill, and the Tullytown resource recovery facility. Both offer residential and commercial waste disposal and recycling services.
