Sony and HP Urge E-Waste Reformers to Target Manufacturers

, a syndicated news service, the two electronics giants that are looking to add the costs of recycling to some of their products are going against the industry grain, which has typically been opposed to producer-responsibility for electronic waste (e-waste). Representatives from both companies voiced their opinions at an e-waste legislation forum held in Sacramento, Calif., Nov. 25.
