Polk County, a political subdivision of the State of Florida, hereby gives notice of sealed REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL RFP #03-079 - RECYCLING PROGRAM - RECOVERED MATERIALS PROCESSING AND MARKETING SERVICES. The RFP package is available from the Purchasing Division, 2470 Clower Lane, Bartow, Florida 33830, (863) 534-5610 or can be downloaded from the County's website atwww.polk-county.net. Respondents must submit one (1) original and six (6) copies of the proposal to the Purchasing Division. Proposals will be publicly opened at 2:00 p.m.on receiving date.
SCOPE OF SERVICES: Qualified firms to provide recovered materials processing and marketing services for the County's Recycling Program.
All Vendors submitting a proposal must carefully reviewthe RMPF plans, specifications, operating manuals, permits and maintenance records located at the North Central Landfill Engineering Office, 10 Environmental Loop Road, Winter Haven.
If copies of the materials are requested the Vendor will be charged a processing cost. Vendors are required to conduct an on-site inspection of the RMPF and its equipment prior to submitting responses in order to become knowledgeable about the design layout, condition of equipment, scale house operations, etc.
