Los Angeles Leaves E-Cycling to City Businesses

Los Angeles – City Councilwoman Ruth Galanter has brought in a motion requiring an ordinance for electronics recycling. The ordinance will require retailers within the city of Los Angeles to recycle the electronic products they sell. Retailers will accept items, such as computers and televisions, from consumers and recycle them at no charge to the consumer. Galanter’s goal is to minimize the costs associated with city recycling by shifting responsibility to local businesses. For details, visit
