EIA Recognized for Leadership Role

Danielle Jackson

Washington, D.C. -- The Environmental Industry Associations (EIA) was selected as one of the first 100 models for the Center for Association Leadership's Innovation & Excellence Project, a program of the Greater Washington Society of Association Executives.

"The award is being given [to the EIA] for the successful reorganization of EIA several years ago," said Bruce Parker, EIA president and CEO. "We had to make some tough decisions to restructure the association to match the economic changes occurring in the waste industry and to ensure EIA's future. I'm pleased that our hard work is being recognized."

Parker will accept the award tonight on behalf of the EIA.
