Veolia ES Solid Waste Purchases Guy’s Waste Services in Georgia

Veolia ES Solid Waste has acquired Byron, Ga.-based Guy’s Waste Services. The purchase includes Guy’s Waste’s subsidiaries: KMA Transfer LLC and Ace Trash LLC. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

The purchase includes a transfer station and a commercial collection operation. All of the Guy’s Waste assets will now operate under the Veolia name, and all Guy’s Waste employees have been offered positions with Veolia, according to Veolia. The collected waste will be disposed of at the Veolia ES Taylor County Landfill near Macon, Ga.

“We view this acquisition as a true investment in the local community,” said Jim Long, president and CEO of Veolia ES Solid Waste, in a statement. “Our aim is to grow this business so that it will eventually lead to more jobs and partnerships within the Macon community.”
