Methane to Markets Partnership Publishes Five-Year Report

The Methane to Markets Partnership has published a report detailing the achievements of its member governments in capturing methane and generating energy from the gas. The report details the governments’ efforts in this area since the partnership began in 2004.

According to a press release from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), “methane capture and use projects supported by the partnership since its creation in 2004 are currently reducing emissions by more than 27.3 million metric tons of carbon dioxide equivalent annually – equivalent to the annual emissions from 5 million passenger vehicles.”
