Connecticut Hauler to Build LNG Fueling Station

Bridgeport, Conn.-based Enviro Express has commissioned the construction of a liquid natural gas (LNG) and compressed natural gas (CNG) fueling station. The firm, which operates 10 transfer stations in Connecticut and collects trash for municipalities in the state, says the station will be the first such facility to be located east of the Mississippi River.

In a related move, Enviro Express will purchase 18 heavy-duty LNG tractors from Kenworth. The public will have access to the CNG component of the fueling station.

Cliffwood Beach, N.J.-based Air & Gas Technologies and Evanston, Wyo.-based NorthStar LNG will construct the fueling station. Construction is scheduled to being immediately and should be complete by mid-October.
