Norwell, Mass.-based Clean Harbors posted a net income of $38.8 million on $487.7 million in revenue during third-quarter 2010. During the same period in 2009, the firm posted a net income $9.2 million on $305.6 million in revenue.

“Clean Harbors delivered another quarter of outstanding results, as we achieved substantial increases in all of our key financial metrics,” said Alan McKim, chairman and CEO of Clean Harbors, in a statement. “Solid growth across nearly all of our operations, combined with continued strong emergency response contributions, enabled us to generate better-than-anticipated revenues.”

For the first nine months of this year, Clean Harbors posted a net income of $107.2 million on $1.31 billion in revenue. During the same period in 2009, the firm posted a net income of $22.8 million on $727.3 million.
