NSWMA To Show New Safety Video At WasteExpo

Washington — The National Solid Wastes Management Association (NSWMA), Washington, will unveil a new safety video at WasteExpo 2005 in Las Vegas. The video, funded by a grant from the Occupational Safety and Health Administration to the Alexandria, Va.-based Environmental Research and Education Foundation (EREF), examines safety hazards faced by solid waste employees at landfills.

Titled “Be Safe, Be Proud — At the Landfill,” the video will be shown at a WasteExpo educational session on Monday, May 2. The video is 20 minutes long and will be available in both VHS and DVD formats. It is the second safety video that NSWMA and EREF have produced for solid waste employers and employees.
