No Injuries Reported in Wisconsin Recycling Plant Explosion

No one was injured in an explosion and fire that that took place in Madison, Wisc., earlier this week. The incident took place at All Metals Recycling on Wednesday.

The Wisconsin State Journal has the details:

About 10 employees were at the metal processing facility at the time of the blast, which happened in a scrap metal pile, company manager A.J. Vedvig said. The explosion could be felt for blocks around the plant.

Madison Fire Chief Steve Davis spoke to reporters about two hours after the fire started and said it was contained, but he expected crews to remain there until 11 p.m. or midnight to extinguish the blaze completely.
