Scott County, Iowa, has launched a new “Go All In” recycling program. Local mayors in Bettendorf and Davenport are fully backing the plan.
KWGC6 has the story:
he words, Go All In, are stamped on the new recycling carts that are being delivered to residents in both cities over the next five weeks. Then, starting August 1st, residents will switch to the single-stream model–meaning no more sorting plastics from paper.
It also means the recycling program will accept more items.
“This is a great opportunity for a lot of people to use,” said Mayor Klipsch. “If you look through the material, you can see how easy it is to do it and it’s better for our community. And, we are literally helping the bottom line of their community financially, but also as an environment as a whole,” he added.
