WCA Waste Corp. has purchased Automated Waste Services (AWS) in the Springfield, Mo., area for an undisclosed amount.
Houston-based WCA Waste acquired through Waste Corp. of Missouri Inc. the residential customer base in Springfield of AWS, headquartered in nearby Nixa. AWS provides solid waste, recycling and green waste collection to residential customers in Springfield and Greene County, WCA said in a news release.
The acquisition gives the company AWS’ local expertise combined with WCA’s resources.
“We are excited about this opportunity for growth and look forward to providing the same great service that the AWS customers have come to expect,“ said Kevin O’Brien, regional vice president for WCA.
