E-Waste Systems Inc. has purchased a reverse logistics solutions company with refurbishing and remanufacturing capabilities.
The London-based electronic waste recycling firm said in a news release it has agreed to acquire a multi-vendor logistics company based in the southwestern United States. The letter of intent doesn’t allow E-Waste Systems to divulge the identity of the company it’s buying until the deal is completed. It is the fourth acquisition by E-Waste Systems in the United States, as part of its strategy to become a leading provider of e-waste services internationally.
E-Waste Systems said the targeted acquisition’s capabilities include asset management, professional services and technical solutions including reverse logistics resolution, development and implementation of software and operational processes, inventory control, commodity audit programs and process integration, as well as engineering expertise, refurbishment and remanufacturing capabilities.
"This particular opportunity is an excellent complement to the planned build-out of our e-waste recycling infrastructure initiatives,” said Martin Nielson, E-Waste Systems CEO.
