AMCS Group Buys Fellow Waste, Recycling Software Firm PC Scale

AMCS Group has acquired PC Scale Technologies (PCST) for an undisclosed amount, a purchase that AMCS claims makes it the global leader in providing software and technology solutions to the recycling and waste industry.

The Limerick, Ireland-based company, with U.S. operations headquartered in Howell, Mich., said in a news release that PCST is a leading provider of software and technology solutions for waste and recycling in North America. PCST is based in Oxford, Pa.

The two companies will have a combined staff of more than 180 employees and will have significantly more resources in the North American market.

“As a division of AMCS Group, the acquisition of PC Scale leverages our common technology and combined industry expertise,” said Jimmy Martin, AMCS CEO. “With our increased product offerings, implementation and service capabilities, we’ve become the only provider to offer the industry a one-stop solution on a global scale.”

The new division will be led by Ken Good, PCST’s current chief operating officer.

Earlier this year AMCS Group secured $32 million in financing to expand in the United States, Canada and Europe.
