Thomas B. Rumpke, co-owner and co-president of Rumpke Consolidated Companies Inc., Cincinnati, died Jan. 4. He was 63. Rumpke's family started their waste and recycling business in 1932. In 1978, Tom and his brother, Bill, purchased Rumpke Inc. from their father, Bernard. Rumpke Consolidated Companies Inc. serves Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana, West Virginia and Indiana. Bill will remain president and chief executive officer. Financial contributions to the Thomas B. Rumpke Memorial Fund will be donated to the families of two Rumpke residential drivers who were involved in recent accidents.
