The CoCollector front loader from Kann Manufacturing Corp., Guttenberg, Iowa, is available in two- and three-compartment configurations to collect and compact solid waste, green waste, paper and commingled materials. The CoCollector is available in 23-, 31- and 35-cubic-yard capacities. A drop floor separates upper and lower compartments and unlatches, raises and lowers hydraulically. The hydraulic system operates at 48 gallons per minute (gpm) at 1,200 revolutions per minute (rpm), with a 75-gallon reservoir. Options include Digitrak, a computerized hydraulic push-button control system that actuates the arms and forks, cart tippers, toolbox, warning beacon, work lights and rear view camera/monitor.

The 40-horsepower (hp) Taskmaster Model TM2330 from Franklin Miller Inc., Livingston, N.J., is designed to shred solid waste. The TM2330 uses two counter-rotating banks of cutters that intermesh at close clearance to reduce bulk, according to the company. Features include a split-body setup designed for cutter stack removal without dismantling the unit, according to the company. Customized sizes and configurations, and seal systems used to maintain fluids within the chamber are available.

Clement Industries

Clement Industries Inc., Minden, La., has re-introduced two trailers for the solid waste industry, available in open- and closed-top models. The trailers' ejectors are made from a unitized steel body. The closed-top ejector has capacities of 65 and 75 cubic yards, and is available with either rear-door compatibility to stationary compactors or roof doors for top loading. The open-top ejector has capacities of 65 cubic yards and larger, and features a steel channel guide in the top rail for the ejector panel to retain the body sides. Both models feature a “T” track for alignment, the company says. Ejectors feature 22,500-pound, 96-inch-wide pro-par axles with parallel spindles; a 44,000-pound, 4-spring suspension; and hub-piloted wheels.

Users can streamline the recycling order fulfillment process by generating status reports, allocating release numbers to suppliers, receiving and verifying shipments, and downgrading loads based on price, weight or flat-rate reductions, according to the company. Features include integration with existing back-end systems, the ability to track and report quality issues, a data warehousing and reporting tool, barcode shipping manifest, the ability to download reports to other file types and the ability to track shipped and received weights.

Iowa Mold Tooling Co. Inc., Garner, Iowa, offers the 24562 hydraulic loader designed to handle wallboard materials on work sites. Features include a 62-foot, 4-inch reach; 1,950-pound lift capacity at maximum horizontal reach; four hydraulic extensions; 75-foot, 6-inch maximum vertical height; hydraulic outriggers with a 22-foot span; and 420 degrees of rotation. Options include both linear controls at the top seat location and wireless remote controls. Other features include Control Area Network bus (CANbus) technology, which uses transducers on the crane to monitor its systems and inform the operator of the crane's condition, according to the company.
